Amnesia: Rebirth gets Adventure Mode on PlayStation, now runs at 60 FPS on PS5
Frictional Games has released a new update for the PlayStation 4 version of Amnesia: Rebirth that introduces Adventure Mode.
Similar to the Safe Mode added to SOMA, Adventure Mode makes the game a lot less scary. When playing in Adventure Mode, the monsters in the game will not attack, locations that were pitch black are now a lot brighter, and there are a couple of bonus puzzles to discover. Additionally, Adventure Mode removes the fear mechanic, so players don’t have to worry about taking fear from monsters or the dark.
“Playing the game in Adventure Mode still contains the same serious themes and story – and the atmosphere can still be quite unnerving at times – but the experience is going to be much less of a horror experience and more one of an epic adventure,” the developer explained in a blog post released last month.
This update also bumps up the maximum FPS from 30 to 60 when playing on PS5.
Amnesia: Rebirth is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
