Aloy is coming to Fortnite later this week
Epic Games has revealed that Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn will be the latest character to join Fortnite’s Gaming Legends series.
Starting April 15th, players on all platforms will be able to pick up the Aloy Outfit, Blaze Canister Back Bling, Glinthawk Glider, Aloy’s Spear Pickaxe, Heart-rizen Emote, and Shield-Weaver Wrap. All of these items will also be available at a discount as part of the Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle, which also includes the Aloy the Skywatcher Loading Screen.
As an added bonus, anyone who purchases the Aloy Outfit and then plays Fortnite on PlayStation 5 will receive the Ice Hunter Aloy Style.
Epic Games is also giving players the chance to get the Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle early by participating in the Aloy Cup. The Duos tournament is happening tomorrow, April 14th, and tasks players with getting the most points from 10 games in a three-hour window. The top-performing teams in each region will receive the bundle.
Finally, Aloy and Lara Croft will be teaming up in a new Limited Time Mode called Team Up! Aloy & Lara. This Duos mode will be available from April 16th through April 18th and outfits one player as Aloy and the other as Lara, with Aloy only having access to the bow and Lara the Dual Pistols.
“We’re thrilled that Epic has invited Aloy to play! As a fast, agile hunter and a proven competitor, we know she’ll make an amazing addition to the Fortnite universe,” Angie Smets, studio director and executive producer at Guerrilla Games, said in a PlayStation Blog post.
“Moreover, Epic has done an exceptional job with Aloy’s kit, including her outfit and spear, staying true to her likeness in Horizon Zero Dawn. Even better, they’ve included fun and authentic extras like her Glinthawk glider, Blaze Canister backbling, and Shield Weaver wrap. There’s even a special emote which Horizon fans are sure to love.”
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
