Halo 3 PC flight scheduled for first half of June
343 Industries has confirmed that the first flight test for Halo 3 on PC will occur during the first half of this month.
“The goals of this first flight will be to test our distribution pipeline, test updates to Challenges, gather feedback on the content listed below, and ensure all supporting systems are functioning properly in preparation for bringing Halo 3 to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC,” the developer explained in a post on Halo Waypoint.
During this first flight, players will have access to following five campaign missions across all difficulties with support for online co-op: Sierra 117, The Storm, The Ark, The Covenant, and Halo. In addition, a number of Social Games, Competitive Games, and maps will be available, including eight-player FFA, 12-player Infection, and H3 Team Slayer. Check out the full list below:
- Social Games: 4v4, 8p FFA, 12p Infection, 8v8
- Competitive: H3 Team Hardcore (4v4), H3 Team Slayer (4v4) H3 Team Doubles (2v2)
- Halo 3 Multiplayer: Construct, Guardian, Last Resort, Narrows, Sandtrap, The Pit, Valhalla, Foundry, Standoff, Avalanche, Sandbox, and Heretic
Players will also have access to customization, the Forge, Theater, and the complete Challenge System, including the Challenge Hub screen, in the first flight.
This first test will be available to a selection of Halo Insiders, according to the developer. Players can register for the Halo Insider program here.
