Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Wire is coming next month
What appears to be Cyberpunk 2077‘s replacement for its E3 2020 event is happening on June 11th, and we have no idea what to expect.
The game’s official Twitter account revealed that the event is called “Night City Wire,” but we don’t know anything else about it except that “stuff will be shown,” according to CD Projekt Red global community lead Marcin Momot.
The last time we saw gameplay footage was last summer, when CDPR gave us a 15 minutes of footage that introduced two of the game’s gangs and two different ways that players can customize their V’s character builds. Beyond that, the game’s official Twitter account has been a little bit livelier the past few weeks, filling out some of the game’s world with tidbits about Night City’s different factions, including smart-gun makers Kang-Tao and the military-industrial Militech.
Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled to launch in April, but CDPR delayed the game’s launch in January. It’s now scheduled to release on September 17th. When it does launch, players who purchase it for Xbox One will also get to upgrade their copy when they move to the Xbox Series X, thanks to Xbox’s Smart Delivery program.
