Yakuza: Like a Dragon may be coming to PC
It looks like Sega may be preparing to announce upcoming Yakuza entry, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, for PC.
Currently, the game is only confirmed for PlayStation 4 in the West, but a listing has appeared on SteamDB (via Gematsu) for a PC release. Sega is yet to officially announce a PC version of the game.
The publisher has previously released Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PC, so a PC release for the upcoming entry isn’t too shocking. However, what is surprising is that a PC listing for Like a Dragon has appeared before the Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6.
The upcoming entry features a new main protagonist called Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level Yakuza who goes to jail for 18 years to protect his captain. After finally being released, he goes in search of his former boss and ends up getting shot. Ichiban awakes to find himself in Like a Dragon’s new setting on Yokohama. In addition to a new protagonist and location, this latest entry uses a turn-based combat system, instead of the usual action-based combat that the series is known for.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is available now on PlayStation 4 in Japan and will be coming to the West later this year.
