Kings Canyon After Dark removed from Apex Legends’ map rotation

Kings Canyon After Dark will no longer appear in Apex Legends’ new map rotation feature, developer Respawn Entertainment has announced.

Last week, the developer added a map rotation feature to Apex that cycled the Play Apex map between World’s Edge, Kings Canyon Season 2, and Kings Canyon After Dark. However, Respawn announced in a recent tweet that After Dark has been removed in response to player feedback. In addition, the amount of time that Kings Canyon Season 2 is available has been shortened.

Last week, we added in map rotation. After taking in all your feedback over the past 7 days, we've decided to make some changes to map rotation. Effective immediately, we'll be removing Nighttime Kings Canyon, and shortening how long regular Kings Canyon is available. pic.twitter.com/KcG6AbW3ZT

“We’re hoping this will allow players the chance to keep grinding that Season 4 Battle Pass or try their skills at the new Bloodhound Town Takeover,” the developer added in a follow-up tweet. “And as a reminder, Kings Canyon is still available in Ranked if you’re wanting to jump in immediately.”

Apex Legends is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
