PlayStation 5 system architecture reveal set for tomorrow
Following on from yesterday’s Xbox Series X hardware specs reveal, Sony has announced that it will provide a deep dive into the PlayStation 5’s system architecture tomorrow.
According to a tweet sent out by the official PlayStation account, the deep dive will go live tomorrow, March 18th, at 9 a.m. PT over on the PlayStation Blog. PlayStation 5 lead system architect Mark Cerny will reveal how the next-generation console’s architecture “will shape the future of games.”
As previously revealed, the upcoming console features a high-speed SSD, hardware-based ray tracing, 3D audio, and PlayStation 4 backward compatibility support.
The PlayStation 5 is scheduled to release in holiday 2020.
