Sega has revealed that an open beta for online action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 will begin in North America on March 17th, 2020. An end date has not been shared.
During the open beta, players will be able to create a character from four unique races and nine classes and then head out to explore up to 14 locations. According to the publisher, after logging in for the first time, players will be gifted a variety of weapons and consumables to get them started.
“The team has been working incredibly hard towards this day, and we couldn’t be more excited to open the servers and welcome our amazing community into the world of Phantasy Star Online 2,” Fred White, PSO2 TEAM North America’s Head of Marketing, said. “From the beginning, the game will include Episodes 1-3, representing over three years’ worth of expanded content updates from the start. We look forward to seeing the players in-game on Tuesday!”
Xbox One owners can download the open beta ahead of time starting March 16th at 10 a.m. PT.
