Borderlands 3 Rare Chest Riches event announced, Takedown scaling now permanent
Gearbox Software has announced that the Rare Chest Riches mini-event will begin in Borderlands 3 later today at 3 p.m. PT.
For the next two weeks, the rarity of loot inside rare chests will be increased, giving players a better chance to get legendary items. This rarity upgrade will also apply to rare chests opened by streamers using the ECHOcast Twitch extension.
The developer also announced that the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite scaling event that adjusts the difficulty based on the number of players in the party is now permanent. For players who wish to access the original four-player version of the Takedown, a True Takedown Mode will be introduced next month. True Takedown Mode can be activated via a lever located on the right side of the door leading out of the airlock.
Finally, the increased chance for Rare Spawns to appear and the chance for them to drop Anointed items has been increased permanently.
