Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 start date revealed
Epic Games has confirmed that the second season of Fortnite Chapter 2 will get underway on Thursday, February 20th.
To help keep players interested between now and the end of the season, Epic is planning to release additional Overtime Challenges and a new two-week event. More information about the event will be shared closer to launch.
Epic also revealed that Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics engine with the release of 11.50 in early February. According to the developer, “the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite” under this new engine.
“Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics engine. At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite,” Epic wrote. “Along the way there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players. We’ll also closely monitor feedback and make improvements over time.”
Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.
