Nintendo Switch has sold more than 10 million units in Europe
Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch has reached the 10 million units sold milestone in Europe.
This figure includes the original Nintendo Switch, which released in March 2017, and the recently released handheld-only Nintendo Switch Lite.
Nintendo Switch Lite officially launched last month and features a 5.5-inch screen and integrated controls. However, this handheld-only version of the Switch does not have a kickstand and cannot be docked.
The company added that hardware sales are up 30 percent year-on-year in Europe compared to 2018 and up 40 percent compared to 2017. As for software sales, more than 36 million Nintendo-published games have been sold in Europe so far, with nine titles surpassing the 1 million units sold mark.
Nintendo Switch owners still have a number of titles to look forward to in 2019 including Overwatch, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and more.
