“Dead Island 2 takes place in a contemporary Los Angeles, roughly 16 years after the first game. The authorities have sealed the city into its own quarantined ‘island’ after a zombie outbreak, and you play as one of six heroes—infected, but immune—trying to find a way out. Like the first game, this is a brutal first-person melee combat game. And thanks to the new F.L.E.S.H. engine (Fully Locational Evisceration Simulator for Humans), where you strike, how hard you strike, and with what, gives you a realistic result. We’ve also added a new Skill Deck system, which allows players to find their own way to slay, designing strategies and tactics that make their slayer unique. Skill cards can even be swapped out on the fly, allowing you to leap into combat with one loadout, pause, swap, and land with another. Players will find infinite ways to slay the zombie horde.”
