Ys IX: Monstrum Nox announced for PS5
A native PlayStation 5 version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is in the works, publisher NIS America has revealed.
This PlayStation 5 release will include all cosmetic DLC released for other platforms. Watch the announcement trailer below:
NIS America also revealed that a Limited Edition will be available to preorder from the NIS Online Store later this month. This special edition bundles the PS5 version of the game with the official soundtrack, a hardcover art book, The Lost Sword short novel, and a 200-piece puzzle.
This latest entry in the series sees renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin being detained upon arriving at the city of Balduq. While imprisoned, Adol meets a mysterious woman who turns him into a Monstrum, which grants him supernatural gifts and the ability to exorcize monsters. Now Adol must team up with other Monstrums to fight against the monsters emerging from a dimension known as the Grimwald Nox.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is available now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia. The PlayStation 5 release is scheduled for spring 2023.
