Camels, hanging signs, and more coming to Minecraft in 1.20
During Minecraft Live 2022, Mojang unveiled the first details about the 1.20 update for Minecraft, which is due to release in 2023.
Players can look forward to a new camel mob that can be used as a mount and a new hanging signs block type. Hanging signs are crafted using stripped logs and chains and come in three different hanging variants.
In addition, players will be able to craft using the bamboo wood set. This set includes bamboo planks, fences, doors, trapdoors, and more. Completing the announcements was the reveal of the chiseled bookshelf, which players can use to store books.
“The team didn’t reveal their full plan or final name for the upcoming update, Minecraft 1.20, right away as we have in previous years,” a post on the official website added. “This time, we will be gradually announcing all the things that are coming to your Overworld in the next update.”
Players will soon be able to test out all of the above items through Java snapshots and Bedrock betas.
Minecraft is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
