Blizzard offers Overwatch 2 players a free Reaper skin and double XP
Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 players will be getting a free skin and double XP as an apology for the game’s launch issues.
All players who log in between October 25th and the end of Season One will receive the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm. As well as this, the developer will be running several Double Match XP weekends to “help make up for any lost time.”
“Launching Overwatch 2 as a live service comes with amazing opportunities and challenges, both anticipated and unexpected,” Blizzard wrote in a blog post. “We’ve largely stabilized the game overall, and we’ve made a lot of progress in fixing or improving issues some of you are facing. We’re committed to consistently investigating issues as they arise, working quickly towards fixes, and being transparent with our community on the status of Overwatch 2.”
Blizzard added that it has another update ready for the game that is due to release “later this week.”
Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
