Marvel’s Midnight Suns is still launching in 2022, getting prequel cartoons
Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a new release date, and it’s squeaking in right before 2022 ends. According to the recent Disney and Marvel Games Showcase stream, Midnight Suns will now launch December 2nd on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
One thing that’s unclear is when the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions are launching. 2K delayed the current-gen and PC versions of the game to “later this fiscal year,” which some took to mean 2023. Now, the description for the trailer states that the “launch timing” for the last gen versions will come “at a later date.”
Alongside a release date announcement, 2K also revealed the opening cinematic to a series of animated shorts that will serve as a prequel to the game and follow all thirteen of the game’s playable heroes, including the new customizable character, Hunter. The first one of these shorts will debut on October 31st.
