Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer reveals a new Pokémon, new moves, and more
During the closing ceremonies of the Pokémon World Championships, The Pokémon Company revealed a new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
This latest trailer put the focus on Pokémon battles and introduces us to the mount Pokémon Cyclizar. The Pokémon can use a new move known as Shed Tail, which creates a substitute and then swaps with a party Pokémon.
“Cyclizar has lived in many households in the Paldea region since ancient times. It has a mild disposition, and people riding Cyclizar are a very common sight,” The Pokemon Company explains in a press release. “It appears Cyclizar don’t mind being ridden because the warmth of a rider helps stave off the cold.”
We’re also shown the Tera Blast, which is a normal-type move that can be learned through a TM. When used by a Terastallized Pokémon, Tera Blast changes to the same type as the Pokémon’s Tera Type and inflicts damage based on the higher of Attack or Special Attack.
In addition, The Pokémon Company revealed the Mirror Herb item, which lets a Pokémon holding it copy an opponent’s stat increases and boost its own stats once, and Loaded Dice, which increases the chance for multi-hit attacks to hit more times.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet launch on November 18th for Nintendo Switch.
