Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass revealed during Direct
The latest Nintendo Direct focused on upcoming JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 3, revealing an expansion pass that add content through 2023.
The expansion pass—which will retail for $29.99—will release in four “waves.” The first wave, launching on July 29th, will just include a “collection of helpful items” and “color variations for existing outfits,” according to Nintendo’s website.
More significant DLC will launch by the end of 2022. DLC Wave 2 includes a new hero character, new missions for that character, new outfits, and a “Challenge Battle mode against difficult enemies.” The next DLC wave launches by April 30th, 2023. That will include another new character with their own missions, more outfits, and another Challenge Battle mode. The last DLC wave will finally include a “new original story scenario.” Release date for that is sometime before the end of 2023.
The rest of the Direct gave a deeper look at Xenoblade Chronicles 3‘s story and gameplay, including fully unveiling the Ouroboros forms for its main cast.
