Overwatch 2 trailer introduces new character Sojourn
Blizzard has shared a new trailer for Overwatch 2 that goes over the origin story of Sojourn, one of the new characters joining the roster in the sequel.
Sojourn, whose real name is Vivian Chase, was originally part of the Candian Special Forces and fought alongside Overwatch during the Omnic Crisis. After the war, Jack Morrison (Solider 76) reached out to Chase about joining Overwatch.
“Whatever was needed,” Sojourn replies when asked what her duties were at Overwatch. “Sometimes I ran point for our agents in the field, other times I commanded the operation. No matter what their mission was, mine was to bring every last one of them home.”
Blizzard plans to reveal the first gameplay footage of Sojourn in Overwatch 2 today, April 14th, at 11 a.m. PT via a livestream over on its Twitch channel.
Overwatch 2 is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A beta for the game on PC is due to start on April 26th.
