Need for Speed Heat officially announced
Following a few leaks, EA and Ghost Games have officially announced that Need for Speed will return this November.
This latest entry, titled Need for Speed Heat, invites players to visit Palm City, an open-world area where street racers gather. By day, players will take part in a sanctioned competition called the Speedhunters Showdown. However, when night falls, racers take to the streets and try to build their reputation in the underground while avoiding a rogue police force that patrols the streets.
“We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known,” Riley Cooper, creative director at Ghost Games, said. “Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fuelling everyone’s creativity with this new game.”
Players who preorder the Standard Edition of the game will receive a K.S. Edition of the Mitsubishi Evolution X. While the Deluxe Edition includes three K.S Edition styled cars (BMW i8 Coupe, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport), access to exclusive deluxe edition character clothing, and increased earnings of Bank and Rep.
Need for Speed Heat launches November 8th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, EA/Origin Access subscribers will be able to access a 10-hour trial of the game from November 5th.
