Genshin Impact’s 2.4 update arrives this week
Genshin Impact’s next major update, Fleeting Colors in Flight, will be available starting January 5th, developer miHoYo has announced.
This latest update for the game will introduce Enkanomiya, the remains of an underwater nation that has been sealed away for thousands of years. In this new area, players will encounter Bathysmal Vishaps, which are “social predators who can hunt together and take advantage of their surroundings in combat,” and Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames, which “can unleash Pyro attacks that deal delayed bursts of damage regardless if characters are shielded or not.”
Two more characters are also joining the roster with 2.4: Shenhe and Yun Jin. The five-star Cryo user Shenhe can boost nearby party members’ Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage, while the four-star Geo user Yun Jin can buff her teammates’ Normal Attacks based on her Defense. Xiao, Ganyu, and Zhongli are also returning in this update.
Finally, the Lantern Rite is back in Liyue Harbor. During the event, players can help rebuild the Jade Chamber, grab 10 Intertwined Fates, and choose one of eight free four-star Liyue characters.
Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and mobile.
