Fortnite Chapter 3 introduces a new map, sliding, Spider-Man, and more
Epic Games has literally flipped Fortnite with the start of Chapter 3 Season One.
The finale event for Chapter 2 saw the island get completely flipped over to reveal another underneath. This new map features a wintry biome, the home of The Seven in Sanctuary, a web-covered Daily Bugle from Spider-Man, and many other points of interest.
To accompany the Daily Bugle, Spider-Man has arrived on the island as part of the Chapter 3 Season One Battle Pass. Players who purchase the pass can also get The Rock as The Foundation, Shanta, Haven, and more, as well as 1,500 V-Bucks.
In addition to the above, players can now set up camp using a Tent. After throwing down the tent, players can rest in it to heal up or store up to three items that can be pulled back out in future matches. Two slots are available by default, with the third able to be unlocked through Bars.
Another new feature is the Victory Crown. Place highly in a match and players will start the next match wearing a crown, which grants bonus XP and an exclusive emote for winning while wearing one.
Other additions include a sliding mechanic, web-swinging, group chests, a Med-Mist healing item, and Guzzle Juice.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
