PlayStation 5 system software update 21.02-0.4.50.00 released
Sony has released a new system software update for the PlayStation 5 that takes the console up to version 21.02-0.4.50.00.
Before you get too excited, this latest update for the console once again focuses on improving system performance, just like the last two system software updates. “This system software update improves system performance,” reads the single patch note.
System update 21.02-0.4.50.00 is around 900 MB in size and should begin downloading the next time you log in while connected to the internet.
The last major update for the console arrived in September and enabled the console’s storage expansion slot. In addition, the update separated PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game on the home screen, made adjustments to the Game Library and Game Base, and allowed for 3D audio to play through TV speakers.
