The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition trailer shows Survival Mode and fishing
Bethesda has shared a trailer that goes over the Creations being added to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and the soon-to-be-released Anniversary Edition.
First up is Saints & Sinners, which was originally released in 2019 and introduces a new story told across two quests. While playing through this content, players can acquire new armor sets and weapons and also find additional goods at Skyrim’s Khajiit Caravans through the Rare Curios Creation.
Also on the way is Survival Mode, in which players will have to battle the elements of Skyrim to survive. Wear warm gear and seek shelter to avoid the cold, forage for food to keep hunger at bay, and deal with the bandits and dragons wandering the land.
The fourth addition is Fishing. Players can fish in bodies of water across Skyrim to find more than 20 unique aquatic species, which can be eaten or displayed in aquariums. There are also some new fishing-related questlines for players to discover.
“I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this round of creations,” Daniel Lee, Senior Artist and Creation Club development lead at Bethesda Games Studios, said. “I’ve wanted fishing in Skyrim ever since the beginning and now it is finally here. We’ve worked hard on this program and it has been a true labor of love; there are more than a few surprises tucked away and I can’t wait for everyone to find them.”
All of the above content will be added to the Special Edition for free on November 11th. These Creations are also found in the Anniversary Edition alongside everything in the Special Edition, all previously released Creation Club content, and new Creations.
The new Creations for the Anniversary Edition include “Ghosts of the Tribunal,” which rewards more than a dozen new weapons and armors from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and “The Cause,” in which players will discover new locations, fight new enemies, and grab a conjurable Daedric horse.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches on November 11th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
