Total War: Warhammer III will now release in early 2022
The third entry in the Total War: Warhammer series has been pushed out of 2021, developer Creative Assembly has announced.
In a message posted to Twitter, the developer revealed that the game is now due to release in early 2022. Creative Assembly explained that the decision to delay the game has been made to prevent development from being rushed and give the team “a little more time.”
“The wait won’t be much longer, and we’ll have plenty of new information for you in the meantime,” Rob Bartholomew, Chief Product Officer, wrote. “The new date will make for a stronger release and the best first step into a new era for Total War: Warhammer. We don’t consider this release the end of our trilogy, but the start of years of content and support as we continue to bring the jaw-dropping scale of Games Workshop’s fantasy universe to Total War.”
Creative Assembly also announced plans to reveal Grand Cathay, one of the new races from the World of Warhammer Fantasy Battles being added in the upcoming entry. The reveal is set for tomorrow, September 14th.
Total War: Warhammer III is now scheduled to launch in early 2022 for PC.
