Alan Wake Remastered officially announced for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC
Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed that Alan Wake Remastered is real.
Creative Director Sam Lake made the announcement through Alan Wake fansite The Sudden Stop. According to Lake, the remaster “is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago” with improved visuals, character models, and cinematics.
“The original game was only available for Xbox 360 and a few years later, PC. We are thrilled about the opportunity to bring the remastered version out for a new generation of platforms,” he added. “I am excited to hear what you think about Alan Wake.”
The game was originally released for Xbox 360 in 2010 and follows the story of writer Alan Wake as he searches for his missing wife in the town of Bright Falls. During his search, he discovers pages from a book he doesn’t remember writing and a dark presence that can only be hurt by light. Alan must solve the mystery of Bright Falls while hanging onto his sanity to save his wife.
Alan Wake Remastered launches this fall for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
