Hot Wheels Unleashed post-launch plans detailed
Mattel and Milestone have unveiled their post-launch plans for upcoming racer Hot Wheels Unleashed.
The current plan is to offer players three types of content once the game is live, including single DLC items, expansion sets, and seasons. The single DLC items can include vehicles, track builder modules, and new customization items, with some of them being offered for free. While expansion sets will be themed around something and introduce new game environments and challenges, as well as exclusive themed vehicles, special modules for tracks, and customization items.
The final part of the plan are Racing Seasons, which will include numerous challenges to complete that reward new vehicles and customization options.
All of the single DLC items and expansion sets will also be offered to players as part of Hot Wheels Passes. The first of these passes will be available at launch and grants access to the Batman Expansion Set, three customization packs, three track builder modules, and ten vehicles from brands such as Barbie, DC, Street Fighter, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hot Wheels Passes do not include Racing Seasons.
Hot Wheels Unleashed launches September 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
