The Division 2 is getting a new game mode in late 2021
A new game mode is coming to The Division 2 later this year, developer Ubisoft Massive has announced.
In a blog post, the developer revealed that the new content is being developed with help from Ubisoft Bucharest and will include “a game mode that is entirely new to the franchise.” Players can also expect new ways to progress their agent “with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability.”
Sadly, this new content is going to “take several months to complete” and is scheduled for late 2021 “at the earliest.”
“We will be taking this time to make sure we bring a meaningful change to the game,” Massive added.
Until the update is ready, the plan is to re-run the previous seasons released during Year 2. This means that the upcoming Season 5 will be a re-run of the first season, giving players the chance to acquire any rewards or collectibles that were missed. In addition to the season re-runs, there will be new Apparel Events and minor Title Updates that focus on the health of the game.
The Division 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
