Gears 5 Operation 6 includes Colonel Hoffman and the return of Speyer
Operation 6 for Gears 5 brings with it three new characters, a returning map, and a new Tour of Duty.
From today, players can visit the shop and pick up the Operation 6 Bundle for $14.99, which contains Colonel Hoffman, Queen Reyna, and the Locus Zealot as playable characters. The bundle also includes the High Tea weapon set, Fallen Banner, Reyna Hairpin Mark, Enemy COG Tag Bloodspray, 30 days of Boost, and 700 Iron. Each of these characters can also be purchased through the in-game store for 250 Iron each or by working through the new Tour of Duty.
The latest Tour of Duty features five character skins, three weapon sets, a mark, a bloodspray, expressions, and gears Coins. As usual, players who manage to reach General can continue to progress and earn more coins.
Finally, Operation 6 brings back Speyer from Gears of War 4. According to developer The Coalition, the outside plaza portion of the map is suited for long-range engagements, while players will need to master close-quarters combat to win the fight inside. Read the full patch notes here.
