Things are looking spooky in Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ fall update
Starting on September 30th, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will need to look over their shoulders as night falls on their island, as the game’s fall update is bringing some chills and thrills with it.
Unsurprisingly, this update is all about Halloween—which is actually called “Halloween” and not a renamed take on a real-world holiday. To help celebrate the year’s spookiest day, villagers can purchase candy to give out, grow pumpkins for crafting new seasonal items, wear some stylish new outfits perfect for Halloween parties, or even change to a more ghoulish skin color.
As well, Nintendo also gives us a look at an update coming to the NookLink smartphone app this October. One of the new features we get to see is being able to select and perfect reactions right from the app.
Finally, Nintendo also announced that the next free update will be coming in late November—and it’s pretty obvious it’ll be themes around Thanksgiving and the holiday.
