Nioh 2’s Darkness in the Capital DLC launches next month
Darkness in the Capital, the second DLC expansion for Nioh 2, will arrive on PlayStation 4 on October 15th, developer Team Ninja has announced.
The upcoming DLC sees the protagonist venture to Kyoto City to unravel the mysteries surrounding the history of the Sohayamuru. After discovering a shrine with an old worn-out box, the protagonist is transported to the middle of the Heian Period in an ancient version if the capital.
“Contrary to its name ‘Heian Palace,’ which means peace and tranquility, ancient Kyoto was terrorized by countless Yokai during this time period,” creative director Tom Lee added in a PlayStation Blog post. “However, there existed many heroes who were brave enough to oppose these demons. Among them were the most preeminent demon slayer and the strongest sorcerer in history, along with their subordinates and colleagues fighting at their side.”
The protagonist decides to join forces with these legendary heroes to help battle the Yokai hordes and learn more about the connections between the past and present.
In addition to new story content, players can expect powerful new bosses, new Yokai, new skills, new armor and weapons, and more.
Nioh 2 is available now on PlayStation 4.
