The Game Awards wants you to save the date for this year’s show
The 2020 Game Awards are taking place on December 10th, according to the show’s official Twitter account.
The show will be hosted remotely from Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. Its tagline reads “A Multiworld of Wonder Awaits…” What “multiworld” means is anyone’s guess, though we’re most interested in the world where COVID-19 doesn’t exist.
Historically, the last few Game Awards have made good on its promise of exclusive reveals, so it’ll be interesting to see what we get during this year’s show, considering it’s happening about a month after the launch of both next-gen consoles.
There will also hopefully be some sales accompanying this year’s show like there were last year.
FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice took home the top prize at the 2019 Game Awards, as well as Best Action/Adventure Game. ZA/UM’s indie darling Disco Elysium also showed up in a big way, winning Best Independent Game and Best Role Playing Game.
