Control’s AWE expansion and August update are now live
Control’s second expansion, AWE, is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have announced.
In AWE, director Jesse Faden visits the Investigations Sector to confront a creature that is lurking in the long-abandoned part of the Oldest House. While exploring this sector, players will learn more about the Altered World Events that were investigated by the Bureau, including one from the town of Bright Falls related to the disappearance of Alan Wake.
“With AWE, we demonstrate Remedy’s unique way of telling stories that span across multiple games and experiences. It might be an end to one story, but it is also the beginning of something new, filled with potential and possibilities. We are really happy at having been able to bring players on Jesse’s journey and think players will be excited by what AWE offers” game director, Mikael Kasurinen said.
AWE is available now as a free download for owners of Control’s season pass or can be purchased separately for $14.99.
Remedy has also released a new update for all Control players that introduces Assist Mode, a new set of options that let players choose how much damage Jesse takes, how quickly the Service Weapon reloads, and more. There’s also the new Multi-Launch upgrade for Launch, additional checkpoints, new Control Points that are close to boss fights, and more.
Control is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
