Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration starts next week

Gearbox Software has announced that it will be hosting six mini-events in Borderlands 3 starting next week as part of the game’s Anniversary Celebration.

The celebration kicks off on July 30th with ECHOcast Overload. During this event, which runs until August 6th, players will have a better chance of obtaining loot during Rare Chest Events when using the ECHOcast Twitch extension. Following this, a new event will begin each week until the final event, Making it Rain, on September 3rd. A full list of events included in the Anniversary Celebration can be found below:

  • ECHOcast Overload (9 a.m. PT July 30th to 8:59 a.m. PT August 6th) – Better chance of scoring loot during Rare Chest Events in the ECHOcast Twitch extension
  • Bonus Boss Loot (9 a.m. PT August 6th to 8:59 a.m. PT August 13th) – Most bosses have an increased chance to drop Legendary loot
  • Loot Monster Mayhem (9 a.m. PT August 13th to 8:59 a.m. PT August 20th) – Increased spawn rates for Loot variant enemies
  • Show Me The Eridium (9 a.m. PT August 20th to 8:59 a.m. PT August 27th) – Increased Eridium drops and Eridium item discounts
  • Mayhem Made Mild (9 a.m. PT August 27th to 8:59 a.m. PT September 3th) – All Easy modifiers in Mayhem Mode
  • Making It Rain (9 a.m. PT September 3rd to 8:59 a.m. PT September 10th) – Enemies drop more in-game cash

In addition to this announcement, the developer pushed a new update live for the game. This update adds a new Legendary firing mode for the Fabricator, introduces legendary gear to vending machines, buffs rewards from chests and Badass enemies, and makes changes to loot pools.
