4K port of TimeSplitters 2 hiding in Homefront: The Revolution has been unlocked
The codes to unlock a full 4K port of TimeSplitters 2 in Homefront: The Revolution have been discovered after they were thought to be lost forever.
For a little context, earlier this week, Matt Phillips, lead programmer on Rust: Console Edition, revealed that he hid a fully playable native 4K port of TimeSplitters 2 inside Homefront: The Revolution’s arcade machine. However, he also sadly added that the code to unlock the full game has been “lost to time.”
Enter the internet. To start with, Twitter user Spencer Perreault shared the code required to unlock the entire TimeSplitters 2 story. This was later followed by a tweet by modder Lance McDonald, who was behind the 60 FPS patch for Bloodborne, sharing a list of codes for Story, Arcade, and Challenge modes courtesy of Discord user Coralian.
To use the codes, find the TimeSplitters 2 arcade machine in Homefront: The Revolution that contains two levels from the game and then input the codes on the level select menu to unlock the rest of the game.
