DiRT 5 gameplay trailer shows a Stampede event and dynamic weather
The latest trailer for DiRT 5 offers a first look at Stampede and showcases the game’s dynamic weather system.
In the footage below we see the Jimco Unlimited Truck navigating the rough terrain of a Stampede circuit in Arizona during a storm. Stampede events support up to 12 cars and feature “hard, unforgiving natural landscapes, built for rough-and-ready machines with suspension and shock absorbers galore,” according to developer Codemasters.
“Stampede features rough terrain and the opportunity for vehicles to get airborne with jumps dotted throughout each circuit,” development director Robert Karp added. “Perfect for unlimited trucks and buggies, the action intensifies with 12 cars all battling for victory so players will need to get their elbows out and hold their nerve.”
Earlier this week, Codemasters debuted the first footage of DiRT 5’s Path Finder events, which see players navigating hardcore off-road terrain in the rock bouncer.
DiRT 5 launches October 9th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions to follow at a later date.
