Destiny 2 released hot fix so players could actually finish The Lie quest

Destiny 2 developer Bungie has fixed a bug that was preventing players from being able to finish “The Lie” quest, which is leaving the game at the end of the Season of the Worthy in just a few weeks.

The bug was blocking players from entering a certain area during the quest, making it impossible to finish it. Unfortunately, this hotfix has also caused the Felwinter’s Lie Shotgun to not appear in player Collections once acquired, but Bungie has assured players that this issue “will be resolved in a future update.” The quest will be playable until June 9th, when the Season of the Worthy ends.

Bungie has also delivered more details about how loot acquisition will work in Season 11. According to this week’s blog post, the world loot pool in Season 11 “will be curated both for relevance and overall size, to strike a balance between the number of rewards and the chance to get a sought-after drop.” Bungie also stated that it’s updating the world loot pool with “meta relevant weapons, some of which were previously exclusive to specific activities like Gambit or Crucible,” which is good news for PvE-only players that might have missed out.

Bungie listed all the specific weapons that will be available in Season 11’s world loot pool:

  • Uriel’s Gift
  • Elatha FR4
  • The Old Fashioned
  • Mos Epoch III
  • Hawthorne’s Field-Forged Shotgun
  • Last Hope
  • Timelines’ Vertex

  • True Prophecy
  • Jian 7 Rifle

  • Outrageous Fortune
  • Truthteller
  • Nature of the Beast

  • Bad Omens
  • Night Watch
  • Toil and Trouble
  • Wishbringer
  • Last Dance
  • Lonesome
  • Long Shadow
  • Steel Sybil Z-14

The blog post also detailed further weapon balance changes that Bungie is making to make certain perks and weapon subclasses more viable.

Reload perks are getting adjusted to make them both competitive with damage perks as well as more balanced with one another. Perks that granted partial ammo will now be working correctly with burst-fire weapons, and several general perks like Dynamic Sway Reduction and Sneak Bow are getting buffs that will make them much more competitive.

Bungie is also looking at certain weapon archetypes that are underused. Slug Shotguns are getting a 30 percent damage increase in PvE, High-Impact Pulse Rifles will do one more point of damage per bullet in PvP, and Bow damage against minor enemies will have a 10 percent increase. The developer also stated that it will be turning its eye once again on Sniper Rifles, Hand Cannons, and Adaptive Auto Rifles in Season 12.
